I think the moth was a symbol which meant that Lynn was about to die. I think Lynn knew what the moth that flew in meant and that is why she watched it and went to sleep. It represents death because moths are blank and dreary animals and this could show death.
Jussi, you do not give much of an insight into the symbolism of the moth. How are moths blank and dreary? It may be more accurate to think of the short life of the moth, or the freedom that they have to flutter around. You can do a lot better...
